Hollywood Curls

Oh Saturday, you are so welcome! This morning I spent a little extra time on my hair, and after a good hair cure I clipped on some extensions and did some Hollywood curls. Just because.

I’m so incredibly happy that I finally got clip on extensions! I use the European Straight Clip On Set from Rapunzel of Sweden in the color #24 Strawberry Blonde (find them here). Here I’m just wearing four clips, as I think that’s enough for everyday wear. The whole pack consist of 7 clips, which is perfect for dressing up or going out. It seriously takes me two minutes to clip them on, and I don’t even notice wearing them! A little tip is to tease your hair right where you attach the clip-ons right before you attach them, so that they’ll stay perfectly in place.

The curling iron I use is this one from Rapunzel’s own brand (find it here). It creates the perfect Hollywood curls, is so easy to use and the curls stay all day. You also get a protecting glove so you don’t burn your fingers if you accidentally touch the iron.

I also got a Daily Shine Conditioner for the extensions, which I actually haven’t used yet as my extensions still look super fresh and new, even though I’ve used them almost every day since I got them. It’s great to have though, I better give them a good wash soon. The Reconstructive Treatment hair mask is also great for extensions, they’ll last so long if you just take good care of them! The Shine Drops is perfect to use both on the extensions and on my own hair to make it shine and sparkle, and hide all signs of damaged winter hair.

These false lashes I’m saving for a special occasion. Maybe this year’s christmas party with the girls! You can find them here.

Now it’s time for me and my Hollywood curls to get the Saturday started for reals! Have a great one you guys♥

Hi lovelies! I just got home from a long day at school, and right now it feels like my head has run a marathon. Too much information on such a short amount of time, hah. I overslept this morning, and didn’t have time to either blog or fix my hair, so the solution ended up being this messy low bun. It’s so easy – just make a small low ponytail with a little bit of hair (let the rest just hang loosely), then start pinning your hair around the small pony and secure with bobbypins. Make sure that the bobbypin go through the hair tie so that they won’t go out of place. Now it’s time for dinner, before I have to start doing my accounting work. Boring day, but soon I’m off for a fun trip so that will definitely be my reward! I know I said that I wouldn’t do any travels until my exams were done, but this one was just too fun to pass up on, hah. I hope you’ve all had a great day♥

Rapunzel of Sweden / Giveaway

212 Comments | Hair

– In collaboration with Rapunzel of Sweden –

I’m so thrilled about my new collaboration with Rapunzel of Sweden, because my hair is actually something that’s been bothering me for quite some time. I obviously have long hair, but the last year it’s just become thinner and thinner! Earlier it was thick and voluminous, but now it breaks so easily and it bothers me so much. Do you remember the photoshoot I did in Copenhagen, when my hair was teased extremely big? I think I lost half of my hair that day. The teasing process and not to mention combing it all out afterwards was so painful, and seeing how much hair I lost terrified me.

So I thought to myself – what’s a good solution for thin hair? Extensions obviously! Extensions aren’t only for those with short hair craving long hair, it’s a perfect way to make your long hair look thicker also. I mean, just look at this result!! I’m so incredibly happy with it♥

Here you can see a before and after picture. The difference in so huge, and I cringe from looking at my thin hair at the before picture. With the extensions on I feel a thousand times better and more confident about my hair, I love it!

The extensions I’ve used here are called ‘Clip-on set European Straight’ (I’ve curled mine), and the color is #24 Strawberry Blond. They are all 50cm long, and the lenght matches my own perfectly. The hair is 100% human hair, and the quality is impeccable. It feels just like my own hair, and you can curl it, straighten it and style it however you want without it being damaged. You can find the whole selection of colors here♥

I can’t even get over how good it feels to have thick hair again, and I can’t believe how perfectly the extensions blend into my own hair. Why didn’t I start doing this earlier?! Especially for going out (hello Christmas-party season), this is just perfect. But I have a feeling I’ll use these more than occasionally, it’s seriously addictive. They are also so comfortable to wear, I don’t even notice that I have them on! I was a bit worried about that, because I easily get headaches, but that’s absolutely no problem. Phew!

Now that I have these extensions it’s so much more fun to experiment with different hair styles. So I hope you’re excited for lots of hair posts from now on? I can’t wait to try different up-do’s, braids, you name it!

Oh, and to the part I bet you guys are most interested in, am I right? The giveaway!! The sweeties at Rapunzel of Sweden sent me a whole bunch of different colors to experiment with, and I don’t need all of them. So I thought I’d share with my lovely readers!

Here is the result of my hair appointment at Digg Hair Studio the other day. What do you guys think? I absoulutely love it! I went a lot blonder for summer, and I just didn’t think the beach blonde hair matched the season we’re now in. So Rune put in lots of thin lowlights in a warm brown color, before I got a golden mini color all over to make my hair warmer. It’s still blonde, but more honey blonde now, just the way I wanted it. It looks so much more natural now, and perfect for fall.

The products that came home with me this time was Joico Smooth Cure, which is a heat protector with hold. I’ve never used heat protectors before, but my hair is really getting damaged so now it’s time to start. I also got the K-Pak Intense Hydrator from Joico, which is a moisturizing mask I’ll use 2-3 times a week to get my hair back to its healthy look. Oh, and a new curling iron from HH Simonsen! I’ve curled my hair with a flat iron for years, but I thought it was time to mix it up a bit. I haven’t tried this curling iron yet, but I’ll show you the curls it makes next week. I chose the thickest curler, as I just love those loose Hollywood curls.

Digg Hair Studio can be reached at 55321111, and found a Sundt Motehus in Bergen. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Rune is the best hair dresser out there! I can’t recommend him enough.

Now I’m off to hang out with my bestie Amalie for a bit, see you later♥

Calling all girls with a little model dream in their stomach! L’Oréal Paris has just launched a contest where you can get the chance of becoming Miss Glossy 2014. As Miss Glossy, you’ll be the face of the hair color Casting Crème Gloss, and not only that. You will also get amazing prizes, like a trip to Stockholm filled with glamour. We’re talking about a makeover with L’Oréal Paris’ top experts and a photoshoot with a world renounced photographer, and you’ll get to see your pretty self in magazines as part of the campaign. Doesn’t this sound fun?

How to enter the contest

Head over to www.missglossy.no, and create an account by answering a few questions and upload a picture of yourself. Share it with your friends and encourage them to vote, as there will be a vote on the website. Two winners will be chosen based on the votes, and L’oréal Paris’ jury’s decision.

Instagram

This year you can also enter through Instagram! I bet a lot of you girls would love to enter, but have something stopping you, like low self esteem or other insecurities us girls have. Or maybe you have a friend who you think would be perfect as Miss Glossy 2014, but she doesn’t have the confidence to upload her picture herself? This year you can nominate a friend on Instagram, which can be just the confidence boost she needs to get going with the modeling dream. To nominate a friend, post ‘#missglossy2014’ as a comment on her Instagram account. L’oréal will then contact her, and encourage her to enter the contest.

Lots of luck to your girls! I really hope I’ll get to see one of my readers in fashion magazines as the new Miss Glossy. Here is some inspo for contest pics, hah. Gotta work that hair, right?

Goldylocks

6 Comments | Fashion

Finally my roots are fixed, and not only that, my whole hair has gotten a golden color treatment, and I’m so happy with it! The color had undertones of copper, which I thought sounded like a fun thing to try. It’s not the biggest difference, but when it comes to my hair I’m such a pussy. Every other day I want to cut my hair short, but all my friends who have gone from long to short hair have ended up spending tons of $$ on hair extensions. So I’ve just kept my hair pretty much the same for the last 10 years, hah.

As always, I went to Rune at Digg Hair Studio – the best hairdresser in Bergen! You can reach him at 55 32 11 11. In addition to being a hair dresser, he’s a color expert, so I definitely recommend him if you want any changes done. I’ve seen him do some amazing ombres the last times I’ve been there, which is so tempting!! But again, I’m terrified of hair-change, so I think I’ll keep my goldylocks for a while.. (sponsored treatment)

All the outfit pictures I’ve had on my blog lately has been shot by the lovely Julia by the way. I of course knew who she was because of her blog when we started school together, but I didn’t know we’d hit if off as well as we have. She’s such a sweet and funny person, and we have so much fun together at school. After school we shoot outfits together, which is so perfect! I was so worried before I started school about how I would get time to shoot outfits, who would shoot them etc. Then suddenly the problem is solved, yay!! And how adorable is her dog Zara??

Now I’m super exhausted after a long week and yesterday’s trip to Oslo. I’ll tell you all about it later, right now I just have to chillax in my sweats and a bun on my head for a while. I have tons of school work to do today too, but I actually really like all the classes so I don’t mind spending my Saturday reading. I thought I’d make a post on how I like my new life as a student tomorrow, if that’s something you would like to read about :)

Enjoy the Saturday sunshines♥♥

– Bow from H&M – 39kr –

Hi lovelies! Have you had a good start to the week? Mine wasn’t good at all. I got up this morning, put on makeup and was ready to go to school, but I realized that I just had to stay home. The cold I’ve been complaining about lately turned out to be sinusitis, and my head feels like it’s about to burst. I ended up going back to bed and sleep for a few more hours, and I’ve been reading at home in stead. I really don’t want to miss any classes, as the teachers at BI are so good, and I feel like I learn so much from them. Oh well.. The headache got better this afternoon, so my boyfriend and I have been running some errands. Here is a sneak peek of my look, isn’t this bow just to die for? I love that it’s both cute and edgy at the same time because of the leather.

I hope you’ve all had a great day♥
