In My Bunad

14 Comments | Fashion

Hi lovies! As I mentioned yesterday today is Norway’s constitution day, and the whole country is celebrating from morning to night. I’ve had a wonderful day so far, and right now we’re home to relax a bit before going out tonight. My day started with a yummy breakfast with my family and bestie, before we watched the parades in the street, walked around downtown and headed home for lunch to eat some traditional sour cream porridge. Yums! I just have to show you a few pictures of my beloved ‘bunad’ before heading to a barbecue and constitution day party. Isn’t it gorgeous? This is Norway’s national costume, and there are tons of different variations depending on where you’re from. My grandmother made this from scratch for me, and I love it so much! It’s especially fun to show my international readers this, now you know a little more about Norway’s culture! I hope you’re enjoying the Sunday, see you tomorrow♥

Fint å se at bunad blir ordentlig verdsatt!

Some tourist agency should use your picture with “bunad” to show to world beauty of Norway’s tradition and beauty of Norway’s women :) You are so cool. Your bunad is beautiful and it is so special that your grandma made it herself. This year I missed out on celebrations for Norway’s Constitution day where I am from in the U.S. I would love some rømmegrøt right now! Yum! I need to learn how to make it myself.
