Tuesday Ten: New York Favorites

1 → Favorite place to have lunch

∴ Delicatessen, 54 Prince Street ∴

I know you’ve heard this a million times now, but Delicatessen is the best. Remember to order the truffle parmegiano fries!

2 → Favorite place to relax

∴ Central Park ∴

There’s no place I’d rather be!

3 → Favorite place to have dinner

∴ Mikado, 14th Street and 6th Avenue ∴

Unbelievably enough I don’t have any pictures of the best sushi ever, even though I’ve dined here a thousand times. Absolutely amazing sushi – but no good surroundings for cute pics. This is a totally relaxed sushi spot with good prices and heavenly food!

4 → Favorite place to stay

∴ Dream Downtown Hotel. 16th Street and 9th Avenue ∴

This is without a doubt the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed at in New York! A little pricey, but totally worth it.

5 → Favorite place to spend a Saturday

∴ Brooklyn Flea, Williamsburg ∴

Shop, enjoy the view and have heavenly food from all the food vendors! A perfect Saturday in the city.

6 → Favorite place to shop

∴ SoHo ∴

When I’m in New York I actually don’t want to spend a lot of time shopping. The city is way too amazing to spend time inside of stores! But SoHo is good – awesome selection and everything is very concentrated. Remember to check out the side streets!

7 → Favorite sightseeing spot

∴ Rockefeller Center∴

Insane views of the city, lots of room on the observation deck (as opposed to Empire State Building), and an unforgettable experience. I recommend going just before sunset – that way you get to see the view both in daylight, during the sunset and at dark. Remember that the lines can be long, so come early!

8 → Favorite snack

∴ 16 Handles ∴

Fro Yo baby!! There’s tons of great places, but «16 Handles» is my favorite.

9 → Favorite time to visit

Either late April or early October. Spring is absolutely stunning in the city, and so is fall. During these periods it’s still warm outside, and the colors the city is surrounded in are simply spectacular. During summer it gets way too hot and humid, it rains a lot and all the cool New Yorkers are out of town/in the Hamptons.

10 → Favorite area to hang out

Greenwich Village & The West Village! Probably my absolute favorite area in the world.

  2. ÅÅÅ jeg vil bare sette meg på et fly til NY as we speak med denne listen klistret i minnet! Jeg har bare vært der en gang og det var i Januar 2015 under den verste snøstormen på 70 år eller hva det var… ikke helt ideelt for å si det mildt haha vi måtte bare le av hele settingen! Neste gang vil jeg garantert reise dit på våren for guri så flott! <3 Håper du har en fin tirsdag!

  6. Veldig kjekk post! Skal til New York selv i slutten av august :) Lurte på hvor dyrt det er med den frozen yoghurten ca. :) Her hjemme koster det fort 100 kr for en is, så da kan man ikke spise det så ofte:P

  7. Kjekk post! Notert ned;) skal til New York I September ca 1 uke for å feire 30-årsdagen min og gleder meg så (har bare vært der me gang før og det var bare et par danger)! Skulls bare ønske jeg også hadde billett til et show på fashion week.. Men får forhåpentligvis med meg fashionistane ute I gaten:) hvis du har noen tips angående ä fä med seg best mulig fashion week følelsen sä takker jeg for det;)

  8. Jeg pleide å bo der faktisk:P rett ved siden av kafeen! Men kostet 3000USD for studio leilighet. NY er dyrt. Heldigvis fant jeg studio med Union for 2000USD som jeg bor på nå.

    Skal sjekke ut Mikado, har faktisk aldri vært der før! Takk for tips;)
