The Google-ing Eye

12 Comments | New York 2011

So yesterday I spent a lot of time waiting in line (I’ll tell you what for later), and I just looked straight out in the air the whole time.. When I was done, a man came over, and asked me if I had given him the google-ing eye, or if he had just misunderstood. I had given him no such thing, and politely told him that his imagination must have run wild. But I’m glad I ran into him, because now I’ve learned a new expression! To give someone the google-ing eye. Such a funny expression. For you slow ones who don’t understand what it means; it’s like checking someone out! Let’s start saying that in Norway!! Google-eyeing, or give someone the google-ing eye,  it will be a new activity! Remember, you heard it here first :D

The definition of google-eyeing, hahah!

LOL!!!! Yes that’s most definitely an expression we use here. I can only imagine the expression on your face when you first heard it hahaahah! Its funny because those phrases come natural to me, but I can only image what they sound like the first time someone who isn’t familiar hears them :)

“Googly eyes” er sånne små plastikk-øyne som unger limer på når de lager dukker og sånt, og derifra begynte folk å bruke uttrykket om å sjekke ut noen også. Så hvor tøft det enn høres ut med Google-ing eye er det nok ikke helt det som var ment:)

Omg :D Weee!!! Da må vi absolutt hooke up!! Men jeg tror ikke spa day er det du bør gjøre her? Du er i NEW YORK for guds skyld, la oss drikke cosmopolitans, shoppe, gå ut, tusle rundt i de nydelige gatene ++!! Gleder meg :D
