Hi sweets. I’ve finally had time to look through all the pics from my sister’s wedding, and it’s time to show you the bride!! I get teary eyes just looking at these pictures, my big sis Hanne looks so beyond gorgeous!

Isn’t she smashing?? I actually think it’s her first time to appear on the blog, talk about opening with a BANG! Hanne is one of my biggest role models in life, she has such a positive and kind soul and is just simply the best. She lights up any room with her smile and positivity, giggling and funny comments. I honestly don’t know what I would do without my sisters. Not only is she kind to the people close to her, she and her husband fill up their free time with volunteer work for Røde Kors, and they’ve been doing it for several years now. Even after becoming parents, they still keep it going in addition to their full time jobs. She’s also incredibly smart and has her own business where she teaches people how to save lives in case of an emergency. And of course; drop dead gorgeous!

Hanne and her husband purchased a really expensive house a while ago, so they didn’t have the biggest wedding budget. I pulled some strings with my makeup and hair contacts, and they were so happy to help!

Initially Hanne asked me if I would do her makeup on the big day, which was a great honor, but I was so nervous about it. Especially since we’re a pretty emotional pack of sisters, and tears+mascara is not a good combination, especially on the wedding day. Therefore the solution was lash extensions. The esthetician who did Hanne’s lashes is the most wonderful lady ever! Her name is Karen Austin, and she’s a licensed esthetician from California. She has been doing eyelash extensions since 2006, and has also trained new estheticians. My bestie Amalie was the one who recommended Karen, and she has done my lashes as well. The result was absolutely divine, and she is so comfortable to be around. She is also so fun to talk to, and she works so quickly. She found love in Norway, so now she lives here in Bergen doing lashes, and she’s the best one I’ve tried.

“I believe that it is important that people go to someone that has been doing this for some time as it is very easy to have what I call a “bad lash job”. These lashes are individual one on one extensions of your own lashes. They come in many thicknesses and lengths and you can have a natural look or a dramatic look. If you decide to try extensions a touch-up to fill them in is required every 3 to 4 weeks. I hope to be able to train professionals here in Norway as well in the future.”

A while ago I asked my childhood friend Eirin if she would do Hanne’s makeup on the big day, and she was super excited to do it. She is both a hair dresser and a makeup artist. A few months ago she actually started working at Digg Hair Studio, my absolute favorite hair salon. When I talked to Rune while he was doing my hair he invited Hanne to come get highlights as well, which she was soo excited about as she hadn’t had highlights in years. Eirin did the highlights and cut her hair, and the result turned out so pretty! Eirin is so talented both when it comes to hair dying, hair styling and also makeup.

Hanne’s makeup is also done by Eirin. She wanted it natural as she doesn’t usually wear any makeup, she’s just a natural beauty. Both Hanne and I were so pleased with everything Eirin did, she is so talented.
