Hi lovelies! I just have to apologize in advance for some very slow blog days. Tomorrow my home exam starts, and yesterday and today is all about prepping. Whoever decided to give me a three-day home exam five days before Christmas… I hope you step on a lego, then smash your toe really hard in a table. That’s one of the most painful things I know, hah.  No but seriously, I have a bone to pick with that person.. This weekend is the annual christmas party with all my girlfriends, and do you think I can go? Noo… I’m so sad about that! They’re gonna start with a champagne breakfast in the morning, then head out for a yummy xmas dinner, then party the night away.. And I’ll be stuck inside in front of the computer trying to score an A. Bah! I never really take time off the blog without a very good reason, and I guess an exam is a pretty good one. So if you don’t hear anything from me before Monday, you’ll know why. But I’m never able to keep my hands off the blog, so don’t loose your sleep over it, I probably will pop by and say hi. Haha. 

Now I’m gonna do one last fun thing before I enter exam mode. I’m picking up my darling little nephew from kindergarden, and we’ll decorate the Christmas tree at my mom’s house together! That kid seriously brings me more joy than anything else in life. Last week he really injured himself by falling down the stairs, and had to go to the emergency room and get stitches. When my mom called him to see how he was doing, the only thing he said was ‘Can auntie Cath pick me up from kindergarden soon? Pleeeeaaase?‘. That melts my heart completely, he thinks it’s so special and fun when I pick him up♥

Hi sweeties! I’ve had the worst day, and I’m writing to you from Bergen, not Oslo where I was supposed to be. I absolutely hate canceling things and I was on the verge of crying this morning, but sometimes you just have to listen to your body. I woke up so sick! I felt it coming a few days ago, but I think my body completely rejected it until I was finished with my exam. Our date night last night was super cozy, but unfortunately I almost couldn’t keep my eyes open at the show because of the worst headache. I woke up with a fever, but decided to hop in the shower and get ready either way. In the middle of my makeup routine I started throwing up, and realized that I wouldn’t be able to make it to Oslo. So incredibly frustrating! So sorry to my readers who were coming to the event, we need to raincheck :/ 

Now my Stylista girls are all at the event, and I want to be there with them so badly! I’ve slept all day, and now I’m off to bed again. I can’t handle the light from the computer with this headache, so I just wanted to pop by and explain why I’m not at the event, and share Sunday’s look. I hope you’ve all had a great day, and that everyone who came to the event are having a blast♥

Hello sunshines! My look du jour was a pretty basic and boring outfit, but that’s how it is when I have early classes. These are basic pieces in my wardrobe that I always turn to when in a hurry. Most people have jeans and a sweater as basic pieces, but my basic pieces are all skirts and cropped sweaters, hah. I never get tired of the feminie silhouette! Other than that, the light outside was incredibly unflattering, and I’m crossing my fingers that the rest of December will give me lots of good photo light. I don’t have a Christmas calendar this year, so a little sunshine should be fair to wish for, right?

I’m matching my camera today! Totally normal, right? Haha. You see pictures every day taken with this camera here on the blog, so I thought it was about time to let the chic and retro design of the camera shine a little bit too. The camera, Olympus pen Ep-L7 is what I take most of my blog pictures with. The picture quality is just as good as my expensive and huge SLR camera, and it’s so much easier to bring along to snap blog pics with. It’s small, weighs like nothing and it seriously looks like a fashion accessory. It comes with 60 (!) different lenses, which is so great. No matter what you need your camera for, Olympus has the perfect lens for just that. I always use the 45mm lens for my outfit pictures (blurry background – hello), and the 14-42mm lens for other pictures as it includes so much in one picture, and the focus is so on point. I’ve told you about the other amazing qualities this camera has before, like the flip screen for selfies, wifi to connect the camera to your phone, and not to mention the super smart selftimer option where you can use your phone as a selftimer remote. I can’t recommend this enough! Maybe something for your Xmas wishlist? 

Other than that, today’s keyword outfit-wise is soft. The softest scarf I’ve ever had around my neck paired with the softest jacket, oh-so-comfortable! Now it’s dinner time for me and my man, and I’m craving carbs! I think I’ll end up making a pasta salad with pesto, that combinaton has been on my mind all day and I’m getting a watery mouth just thinking about it. I hope you’ve all had a super duper day♥

Oh my God, words can’t even describe yesterday’s event with Nelly! Their NLY Icons Brunch was hands down the craziest experience of my life, haha. I wish I had filmed the whole thing so you guys could see it, you wouldn’t even believe everything Nelly had set up. People were dancing on every single table and couch there was, there were professional dancers, a guy who played the trumpet to the best dance songs, everyone went crzy on the dance floor and not to mention the food and drinks were divine. And did I mention that this all happened between 12 and 3pm yesterday? When we got home we felt like it was the middle of the night, hah. I’ll share tons of pictures once I come home! Above you can see my outfit for the party brunch. This jumpsuit is so incredibly comfortable! It was perfect for all the crazy dancing that went on. Ah, SO FUN!!!

I was so upset when the rain poured down yesterday, but we thought we’d give an outfit shoot a go anyway. And seriously, which challenge can’t my Olympus Pen Ep-L7 overcome?! You can’t even tell that it’s raining, and the pictures came out so clear. I’m beyond in love with this camera which this outfit was shot with. Can’t recommend it enough! (sponsored camera)

My outfit was light and bright, as I’ve been wearing way too many dark clothes lately. This new top is beyond chic, but unfortunately I forgot to take better pictures of it. White lace and a crop top is an unbeatable combo in my opinion, love it!♥

Hi lovelies! Long time no see.. Or okay, it’s just been since Friday night, but a day off the computer did me so good. Since last time we spoke I’ve cleaned the whole house, done tons of laundry, done lots of school work, relaxed, made yummy food and played with my nephew. Just the way I like the weekends to be! My nephew comes over for about three hours every single Saturday, so I always make sure to be available to spend time with him as much as I can. So cozy! We’re such besties, and nothing makes me happier than hearing that adorable little toddler’s laugh. 

Today is all about studying as well, my first exam is just a month away, which goes by so quickly! Right now I’m having a little gym google session. Yes, you heard me, gym!! I’m not a big fan of gyms, and I prefer being outside getting fresh air while I exercise. But lately I’ve actually been missing gyms and different classes to do, rather than get soaking wet from power walking outside in the storms and rain. I sit so much during the day, both when blogging and working on the computer, and studying, so I really feel an urge to get up and use my body more! I’m not quite sure which gym to join though, do any of my Norwegian readers have a chain of gyms they’re happy with? I’m actually really excited to join a gym again now, tomorrow is the day!

Is there anything prettier than fall colors? I think not! Every single tree looks like a piece of art, and the leaves covering the ground is just magical. Today I matched the fall colors with my army green coat from Topshop, which I’ve worn a lot lately but it has never made it to the blog. A warm coat in this cold weather is a perfect match!

By the way, did you notice my new header? How do you guys like it? I’m so happy with it, expecially considering the fact that I made it all by myself, hah. I can’t wait for the design changes that are coming up to go live, it won’t be too long, promise! 

Now I’m gonna get some work done, then my cousin Fride and I are off to the movies later :) I hope you’re all having a great day♥

Hi superstars! How is your productive Wednesday coming along? Mine has been great so far. I’ve done a long powerwalk, read pages on pages of economics (so tiring!), cleaned the floors, changed the bedding, done laundry ++. It feels so good! Now I can spend the evening with my girlfriends with the best conscience. We’re meeting up at Amalie’s and everyone will bring something yummy to eat for a little evening meal. So cozy! I’m making a fresh and healthy salad, and I simply can’t wait for girltalks and yummy food after this productive day.

The outfit is from last week in London by the way, before a dinner at an Indian restaurant. Fun fact about me; I absolutely hate Indian food! Haha. And the last three fancy dinners I’ve been to have all been at Indian restaurants! I always end up just eating naan bread until I have to roll out of there.. The outfit isn’t exactly very exciting, but I thought I’d share it (because I have no other pictures to blog, hah).
