Hello from New York ladies!! It feels soo good to be back in my beloved city. Last night we had so many plans of things to see as it’s Fride’s first time here, but we were so exhausted from the long travel that we fell a sleep around 9, haha. We managed to take a little walk before finding the bed though, and of course my camera came with me. First up, the view from the restaurant/night club on the top of our hotel. I can’t wait to see this view at night, the weather was so grey yesterday..

Our hotel is so cool!! Probably the prettiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The overall design is just overwhelmingly cool, and the small details are just fabulous. Even the light switches are amazing, haha. This is the first time I’ve stayed at a hotel in my old neighborhood, hotels here are usually way too expensive but luckily we got a good deal on this one. Right across the street from us is the Chelsea Market, Meatpacking District and all those places I love.

I could seriously move in to the bathroom here. The shower is big enough to be its own room, and just look at the tiles! Soo cool!

The first stop on our walk was my favorite sushi restaurant, Mikado on the corner of 14th street and 6th ave. A must if you’re ever in the city!

My lovely cousin Fride♥ We have so much fun together. I still can’t get over when she told the taxi driver that her boyfriend was Norwegian and that he was her cousin, hahaha.

After showing her where I used to live, we headed to West Village to see Carrie’s steps. The apartment they used for filming can be found at 66 Perry Street. Such a magical place to visit for Sex and the City-addicts like ourselves.

Now we’re about to head out, but unfortunately we brought the Bergen rain with us from Norway. It’s pouring down today, and it’s supposed to be like that all day, bah. Probably a good day to do shopping, and hold off the sightseeing until tomorrow. Wishing everyone a fab day♥

  1. Fride er såå heldig som får ha deg som guide i New York!! Jeg elsker byen selv og lengter hele tiden tilbake. Passer fint å gjennoppleve den fantastiske byen gjennom bloggen din når jeg ikke kan reise selv grunnet bachelorskriving:)

  3. Uflaks med været da! Eg kom tilbake til London frå New York i går, og dei dagane eg var der var det 28 grader og strålende sol! Nesten for varmt, men perfekt til å ligge i Central Park og spise is :)

    Litt sent å spørre og skjønner om du er opptatt i NYC, men om du får tid: hvor finner du alle de fantastiske inspirasjonebildene på pinterest? Er det noen spesielle du følger, eller noen spesielle søkeord du bruker? Jeg leter, men blir helt lost der inne jeg…… noe jeg ikke har skjønt kanskje, hehe…. ;-) (de bildene du finner er jo såå flotte!)

Kjenner jeg misunner dere skikkelig nå! :) Har aldri vært i NY før, men ser ut til jeg endelig får tatt turen til høsten og gjett om jeg gleder meg allerede!! :) Jeg håper været blir bedre og at dere får en fantastisk ferie og mange fine opplevelser:) Og venninna di er veldig heldig som har deg som har vært der mye før, for å vise frem de beste plassene:)
