Good morning loves♥ Because of major technical issues with my blog I wasn’t able to post the makeup post last night, sorry! Here it is though, with one of my favorite makeup looks; The smokey eyes. I do smokey eyes almost every day, only with lighter shades in the daytime. Yesterday I put on a little bit more than usual, and also did my brows a bit stronger.

The products I used..

Step number one when doing smokey eyes should always be a good eyeshadow primer! It’s such a bad look when the shadow creases, and suddenly all your eyeshadow lay like lines on your lids. Put a Lid On It Eyelid Primer from The Balm is a big favorite of mine. The consistency is thin, and it melts perfectly on to my lids. The eyeshadow stays perfect until you wash it off again. Last night I forgot to remove my makeup before bed, and the eyeshadow looked just like new when I woke up this morning! Definitely recommended.

Step number two is the brows. I like to do them before putting on eyeshadow. I use the Universal Brow Pencil from Billion Dollar Brows to shape them, and fill them in. This pencil can be used by anyone no matter the color of your brows, just apply it with light strokes if you don’t want your brows too dark. Do the strokes upwards, and shape with the brush on the other side of the pencil.

This is my absolute favorite eyeshadow palette, I use it every single day. It contains all of my favorite colors, and can be used both for daytime looks and evening looks. I put the color “Spotlight” under my brows, and the color “Nightcap” all over my lids. On the outer corners of my eyes and in the crease, I put “Eclipse” and “Cocoa Star”. Imagine a V from the outer corners of your eyes, and fill in the darker shadow. Put some over the lash line and some in the crease, and let them meet on the outer corners. Make sure you blend the different shades well. I also put “Nicthcap” on the lower lash line, from the middle of my eye and outwards. A good tip is to cover the area under your eyes with a cotton pad while applying eyeshadow, especially the darker ones, in case the shadow drizzles a bit. With this set comes several cards with tutorials on different smokey eyes, so if you’re not too comfortable with putting on eyeshadow that will definitely help!

Then it’s time for eyeliner and mascara, and lots of it! I use the Blink Precision Waterproof Eyeliner, which is fantastic. As you can see in the picture the tip is very thin, so it’s perfect to make a cat eye with. I start with a thin line from the inner corners of my eyes, and from the middle and out I make it thicker. On the outer corners I drag it a bit upwards. Make sure that the liner goes all the way down between your lashes, so you don’t have any area which isn’t covered.

The Curling Mascara from Studiomakeup is new to me, and I already adore it!! When it comes to mascaras I like them big and chunky, just like this one. The curled brush makes it so much easier to apply, it covers every single lash, even the tiniest ones. The result is great, and it nourishes the lashes while it’s on.
