It’s so fun for me to share this amazing app with you guys, called ‘Here City Lens‘, which is available on the new Nokia Lumia 1020. This app is perfect for us who love shopping, and especially for traveling it’s gold!! I absolutely love my new phone, and the City Lens app is without a doubt a big highlight. In addition to the app, the phone has a whoppin’ 42 megapixel camera, which is a huge difference from the 5 megapixles I had on my old iPhone 4. It takes amazing pictures, and I couldn’t be happier with the phone!

But back to the app, I’m so excited to show you! So basically this app is your own little shopping guide, and will show you all the great stores nearby, in addition to restaurants, night clubs, hotels etc. Imagine how much time you’ll save when visiting a new city, and you can get all that information up by just clicking a few buttons? Gotta love this technology. I tested it in my city – Bergen, and here’s what you do..

First you find an area/shopping street of your choice..

Open the HERE City Lens app on the Nokia Lumia 1020, and choose if you want to see stores, restaurants, nightclubs or something else, or you can choose to see everything at once..

Hold the phone up towards the area/street..

And voila! You get a full guide of all the stores, and how far away they are. Now I no longer have to spend time looking for the closest Zara when I’m traveling, yay!

How cool is this? I can’t even get over it.. The restaurant option is also great. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve been shopping and ignored my hunger because it’s so fun to shop.. Suddenly my blood sugar drops and I need food asap, and I wind up going to some random place! From now on I can just use this app, and all restaurants nearby me will pop up on my screen, and I can read ratings and reviews before I make my decision on where to go.

Matbørsen and Pygmalion are two favorites of mine in Bergen.

As if this wasn’t enough, there’s also even more apps perfect for shopping on this amazing phone. The app HERE Maps gives you a great map of your area, and you can use it to get from A to B. In addition to that, you can even use it on shopping malls, and get a full overview of the stores, where they are, and how far away they are.

The app HERE Transit shows you the best way to get from A to B. This will be frequently used when I’m traveling. Just to test it I used it yesterday when I was going from my house and to the city center. Here are three screenshots to show you..

Isn’t this amazing? I can’t wait to use these apps when I’m going to Manchester on Wednesday. This new phone is everything a girl could wish for!
