Hi girlies :) I hope you’re all enjoying the easter holiday, lots of you are probably enjoying life up in the mountains right now? I’m so jealous, I wish our cabin was closer, it’s like a nine hour drive. Plus it’s by the ocean, so it’s not very easter-ish anyway, haha. Speaking of, my brother just bought a cabin today! This one is way closer than the other one, so I’m really excited to have a place to hang out this summer without doing the long drive. But anywho, I thought I’d share a little tips with you guys, and it’s all about the brows. I got these genius little brow razors sent to me last week, and I’m already addicted!
I hate having lots of little white hairs around my brows. It’s only natural, but they annoy the hell out of me. There’s no way I’m letting a normal razor anywhere near my brows, it’s way too painful to tweeze everything, and I’m not a big fan of getting my brows done professionally, as I always think they end up way too small. This brow razor is my big savior, it’s so genius! You just carefully brush it over areas with lots of hair in a downward motion, and the razor cuts them right off. I was a bit scared to cut myself at first, but it wasn’t a problem at all. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier with my brows than I am now!
I’m not quite sure where you can buy these, but different beauty stores should have them. They get a big thumbs up and a warm recommendation from me!
Other than that, I thought I’d start some research for our trip to the US this summer. Everything in Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and Moab is booked, but we still need to plan our time in California. If you have any tips I would really appreciate them! We of course want to check out Los Angeles, but if there’s any other areas around there we should check out, or any hotels we should stay at, please share! Have a great night you guys♥

Klem

Hi!
I have been there last summer (roadtrip) and it’s great!! A trip you will never forget.
You really need to see Santa Barbara! It’s such a nice, cozy town/city. A lot of pretty shops and restaurants (The Italian restaurant Pascucci is sooo good!!).
Have fun!

Hey Cath, I´m going to LA in June. We do the same trip. First we´ll be in LA, San Diego and at least Las Vegas. Our Hotel in LA, called Custom Hotel it ´s a really good deal, it´s right next to the airport, but not to far to the ocean and the city. We already stayed there two years ago, and I were really satisfied with the whole Hotel and the prices. BTW I´m a really in love with your blog! I love reading your blogs and follwowing you on instagram. Love your pictures. I´m very excited about you blogging about your trip in summer to the united states.
Keep up blogging every day, sweetheart . Totally love it!
would love, if you could take a visit at my instagram profil. svenja__a

O-M-G! Merker at jeg savner tilbake til roooooadtrip <3

Du får kjøpt dem på H&M, bl.a.

Ligger ca 2 timer nord for LA.

If you have a rental in California, I’d recommend you make a drive up to Santa Barbara via Highway 1, it’s only about an hour and a half to two depending on traffic. It’ll be a really beautiful drive and there are a lot of great things to do there. For example, lots of great wineries to go tasting and restaurants for good food. If you go to Santa Barbara, you must eat at Los Agaves, it is the best Mexican food ever! The wait is definitely worth it and usually never too long. If in the mood for pizza, Olio’s Pizzeria is my favorite. Check out Yelp for more recommendations :) And if you decide to stay a night or two, the Canary Hotel or El Encanto are wonderful. Renting bikes and cycling along the beach is great fun too, the hourly rates aren’t bad either, however do not get ice cream at the pier. It is overpriced and not good, keep cycling another ten minutes and go to Rori’s in Montecito. It is really great quality and they have great flavors. Lotusland is a beautiful garden and property to visit and Sakana is a great sushi place close by there.
If you stay in LA and like spicy food, you should try Korean food. Genwa Korean BBQ in LA is my favorite and of course bibimbap is my dish of choice. A great mall in LA is the Grove if you’re interested in that.
Let me know if you’d like any more tips :) I actually have a five hour layover in Bergen next month, any recommendations if you think I have enough to get back and forth from the airport and city? Tusen takk :)

I just got back from a trip to San Francisco and NYC, and I warmly recommend you visit SF if you’re going to California! Such a beautiful city with an almost bohemian vibe, gorgeous buildings and great food. Also obviously has many iconic sights, Golden Gate, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard street etc – but just walking around and seeing the different neighborhoods is awsome too. And Cali in general has great mountains for hiking, which I know you love, and are not to be missed!
On a separate note, a friend tipped me about an awesome store in NYC that sells different kitchenware called Fishs Eddy, you may already know it. It’s on Broadway and 19th near the Flatiron and totally worth a trip if you’re ever in the area. Besides all the pretty stuff they have, they also carry a line of kitchenwear in that have tex in ‘Brooklynese’, like cups that say “Cawffey”. They’re hilarious haha! Anyway, hope you have an awesome trip and happy easter!
