Homemade Lace Robe

9 Comments | Fashion

Hi loves♥ Guess what I’ve been lounging around in today? My brand new, homemade lace robe! I’m soo happy with it, it turned out exactly how I wanted it, in fact even prettier! The fabric is sheer, but not too see-through, it flows when I walk, and it’s oh-so-soft.

There’s a small bow inside..

..and a bigger one on the outside, just to make sure the ‘girls’ aren’t suddenly exposed involuntarily, hah.

This wasn’t difficult to make at all! I used my imagination, cut out the pieces, secured the hems, then just sew all the pieces together. It only took me a couple of hours, where most of the time was spent sewing the hems.

The fabric was like 60kr/$10 per meter, so it was very budget friendly to make too. WIN!

Do you guys like it?? Seriously, nothing beats just letting your creativity take over, and actually be able to wear something you’ve made yourself. It’s such an amazing feeling! Maybe I’ll end up making these as Christmas presents for my friends and family in stead of the makeup bags I made last year :) Now I can’t wait to get started on the next sewing project! Fride is celebrating her birthday this Saturday, and the plan was to make a dress to wear. I don’t want to rush anything, because after my experience, when you rush, you make silly mistakes. But we’ll see :)

What do you guys think?♥
