Hi lovelies♥ We came home from New York late last night, and I spent the evening on the couch with my boyfriend and Bella, which felt so good. It’s always good to get home to the people I love, but man I miss NY already!! It’s just something about the city, I feel like I belong there.. The trip exceeded all of my expectations! You know how bloggers often get criticized for portraying a more perfect picture of their life? Well, this last week has been the opposite for me, because the trip was so amazing I have no chance of finding words to describe it. My cousin Fride is one of the most fantastic people I know, and we’ve made so many memories we’ll never forget. You know those moments you laugh so hard no sound come out? We had those like a hundred times a day, haha. So a big thanks to my love Fride for making this trip simply indescribable♥
Today is a great day as well though, it’s my boyfriend’s birthday!! Yay, happy birthday to the best boyfriend in the world♥ We slept in and he opened presents from me and Bella in bed, I always love giving presents to my loved ones. Soon we’re off to adjust the strap on the watch I gave him, and I need to do some serious green grocery shopping. Normally I’m a really healthy eater, but during this whole New York trip I’ve eaten everything in sight!! My clothes are so much tighter now, and there’s no chance in hell I’m stepping on the scale, haha. I don’t even care, we had such a good time tasting every goodie that the city had to offer, but now I feel like I should step up my veggies intake to make up for the damage. I thought I’d make one of those green veggie juices. They taste like horse shit, but they do the trick!
Before we’re off I thought I’d share some pics from the Empire State Building. I prefer Rockefeller Center to Empire State Building, but we didn’t have time to go until 1 in the morning so Rockefeller was closed. It was freezing and so windy, we almost couldn’t stand up straight, but of course magical like nothing else..
You know how they say pictures add 10 pounds? Well, the wind on the top of Empire State Building adds 50, haha.
Sorry for the bad pictures by the way, my camera is so fancy but so complicated, so I couldn’t really figure out what settings to use. Anyhow, on this picture you can see two cool things. The triangle shaped building on the bottom of the picture which is called the Flatiron Building, isn’t it cool? And also, in the back you can see Freedom Tower, which is the ‘new’ World Trade Center. We visited the area earlier in the day, which is always very emotional, but even more so that day as the Boston bombing happened the day before, and we were already shaky. It’s fun to see how the new building is coming along though, definitely a place I recommend visiting if you’re ever in New York. I’ll share more pics of that tomorrow.
Thanks for everything New York, I’ll be back before you know it♥

Hei!

Men juni går nok fint :) Klem

Thank you :)

Thank you sweetie! I wasn’t that happy with the photos of the city, they could have been clearer, but I’m glad you like them :D

Bildene er nydelige as always, så skjønner ikke helt hva du mener ;) Har vært oppe i Top of the Rock et par ganger, men aldri oppe i Empire State Building.

It looks like you had an amazing time! I am slightly jealous :P. I went to New York a few years ago but I am definitely feeling the need to go back again very soon!! There is just soo much to do it seems almost impossible to do it all in one trip. Which I guess is an awesome excuse to take another one!!
Hope you are having a fantastic day!

Recommend putting a bunch of ginger and lemon/lime in your veggie juice, makes it sooo much tastier ;)

cathrineheienberg says
Yes I bought that, can’t wait to try :)
