Everyday Makeup Routine

21 Comments | Makeup

I’ve gotten some questions about my everyday makeup routine, so I thought I’d share my quick and easy morning makeup with you guys. Especially now after starting school, I don’t have either time or patience in the morning to doll me up completley. I almost go on autopilot while doing my makeup these days, and I always go for a simple and semi-natural look. Excuse me for the big ‘blogger-faux-pas’ by the way, hah. Pics in the mirror, and laundry in the background. In my defence, it’s just clean towels that I just folded before snapping these pics. Hope you’ll forgive me!

So, here’s my everyday makeup look..

And here’s the products I currently use, and what I do with them. I love to try new makeup products, but these are my go-to’s when I don’t have time to experiment with new ones.

1: High Definition foundation from Makeup Forever / 2: Mineral powder from Tromborg in the color Sky / 3; Concealer from Chanel / 4: Powder brush from Everyday Minerals / 5: Concealer brush from Sephora

  • The first thing I put on is concealer under my eyes. I apply it in a triangle under my eyes; from the bottom of my nose and up to the corners of my eyes. I blend it into the skin with the Airbrush Concealer Brush from Sephora. This does wonders for a tired morning face! Start with a small amount and add more where it’s necessary.
  • After moisturizing my face, I apply a little bit of liquid foundation where it’s necessary. I think the best tips for face makeup is to use as little as possible, so you don’t end up looking all cakey. I only apply the foundation in my cheeks where I usually get red, and some on my nose. If you have red impurities you need to cover, it’s much better to go over them with a concealer in stead of piling on with foundation.
  • The last step for my face makeup is applying a light touch of Tromborg’s mineral powder all over my face, just to even out the skin tone. Be sure to check that the shade in your face and the shade on your neck matches before you wrap up the face makeup!

1: Naked Eyeshadow Palette from Urban Decay / 2: Eyeshadow brush from Glo Minerals / 3: White eyeliner from Sephora / 4: Liquid eyeliner from Lancôme / 5: Eyeshadow from MAC for my eyebrows / 6: Eyeshadow brush from MAC / 7: Eyeshadow primer from Urban Decay

  • The first step in my eyemakeup is always putting on a light layer of eyeshadow primer. This makes the eyeshadow stay perfect all day, no lines in sight!
  • Then eyeshadow is next. I start by putting on a light beige color all over my lids, the one I use for this is the third one from the right. After that I put a slightly darker shade in the very corners of my eyes, and work it inwards on my crease. The one I use for this is the fifth one from the right. Very natural colors, and nothing too dark.
  • Eyeliner is next, and I always go for a subtle cateye shape in the corners of my eyes. I do a very thin line from the inner corners of my eyes, and this eyeliner from Lancôme is perfect for that. It’s the thinnest eyeliner I’ve found, and it’s so easy to work with. On the outer corners, just follow the natural direction of your lower lashline, and put the eyeliner on outwards and upwards. I have eyelash extensions, so no mascara necessary.
  • I put a tiny bit of white eyeliner in the inner corners of my eyes on the lower waterline, only in the corner. This opens up the eyes even more.
  • For my brows, I fill them in with an eyeshadow from MAC. I don’t do anything too crazy with them, but a little eyshadow makes them look so much better.

1: Bronzing powder from NARS / 2: Powder brush from Tromborg / 3: Lipgloss from Clarins

  • For the finishing touches, I swipe a little bronzing powder under my cheekbones, and a little in the rest of my face. I follow the countouring guidelines, so I only apply it where the sun would naturally hit me.
  • A little subtle lipgloss, and I’m ready for school!

When I wrote it all down it seemed like so many steps, but this seriously takes me like 7 minutes. Thank God for lash extensios, it makes everything so much easier! Oh, and I always wear this headband while doing my makeup to get my hair away from my face.

I hope you liked this little makeup tutorial, and maybe you’ll even test this natural eyeryday look on yourselves?♥

Love it! thanks for sharing. I am DYING to know how you curl your hair though. I’m a fairly new reader so you’ll have to let me know if you’ve already done a post on that. I struggle to find your archived posts…maybe it’s the language barrier?

You are simply gorgeous. Love your blog!

I love how you look! Gorgeous as always and by the way you look some kind of fresher or don’t know how to say it… I think it’s definitely the result of your change to eat lowcarb again. It’s visible you got rid of the excess water from your body. Your face is much more…skinner? Really hard to express what I mean, haha. Anyway keep going, sweetie.
