Yesterday Lisa and I checked out the Brooklyn Flea Market in Williamsburg, and the area surrounding it. It was soo nice!! The atmosphere was so chilled yet cool, and there were so many stylish people (models) everywhere! Actually I think it’s one of my favorite spots in New York, even though it’s not on Manhattan. It was like SoHo, just without all the mainstream stuff. A lot of vintage stores and small boutiques, which actually had reasonable prices (the ones in SoHo are super expensive so they’re able to pay their sky high rent). Anyways, back to the flea market..

Food is a big part of flea markets in New York. There are so many stands everywhere, and they have food from almost all over the world. Yesterday’s choice fell on tacos, which tasted like cardboards. I guess it’s part of the charm..

I was wondering if I should get this and re-sow it into a tight mini dress. At $200, I decided that it could might as well stay on the racks, as I probably would’ve fucked it up anyway..

Looved this one..

I found a super pretty gown from the 1940’s!! Here’s a sneak peek, I’ll show you better pictures when I can take some which actually does the dress justice..

I definitely recommend visiting the Brooklyn Flea if you’re in NY during a weekend!! It’s super easy to get here too, just take the L train from 14th street (so easy for me who live on 13th), and go off on Bedford Avenue, the first stop in Brooklyn. Then you just walk straight to the river, and voila, you’re here :)
