Barbecuing Healthy Style

With warm days and long light nights, barbecuing is mandatory, right? I absolutely love barbecuing, we do it every time the weather allows it. It can be hard to keep what you put on the grill healthy though, especially in social settings like when barbecuing with friends, and everyone just brings hotdogs and burgers. I thought I’d share my favorite healthy barbecue dish, which is so yummy and so good for you.

Skewers (grillspyd) with lots of veggies and the meat of your choice. It is so easy to make, and such a great way of eating more vegetables. Here I used chopped squash, champignon, cherry tomatoes, shallot onions and pork. Just use whatever’s in your fridge. Making small meatballs out of chicken ground beef is also really good put on. Before you put them on the grill add some sauce, here I used chili sauce but barbecue sauce is yummy too.

These are perfect to make at home and bring to barbecues this summer..

Last night’s dinner, yumminess!

And obviously we need a good salad. My favorite consists of iceberg lettuce, red onions, cherry tomatoes, avocados, pine nuts, and feta cheese. Pour some olive oil over and season with salt and pepper, and you’re done.

A glass of champagne is mandatory!

Bella hates this warm weather by the way, haha. Poor thing with all her fur is just wheezing all day!

Now we’re gonna do a repeat of last night’s dinner, hope you’re all having a great evening♥

    Ser du stadig er veldig fan av isbergsalat! Da du er opptatt av sunnhet vil jeg anbefale deg å heller styre til andre salatblader da det så å si er null næringsinnhold av noe slag i isbergsalaten! Ta det fra tidligere frukt&grønt-ansvarlig på Meny :)
    Rukkola er for eksempel et myyye sunnere valg! Eller hjertesalatat!

    Det så helt fantastisk ut, fikk helt vann i munnen :D Laget tacosalaten din med crispy chicken i dag, like god som alltid! :* Men fine deg, jeg lurer på en ting. Hva spiser du når du får søtsug? Vet lavkarbo skal gi mindre søtsug, men ja. Jeg går på en form for lavkarbo nå med glutenfridiett, men føler jeg har lyst på noe heeele tiden, mer enn før! Har du noen tips? :)

    Så bra!! :) Søtsuget melder seg sjeldent her, men når det gjør det tar jeg enten en kopp lettkakao, sukkerfri dent eller 86% mørk sjokolade :)

    Jeg varierer mye med salatvalgene og bruker ofte ruccola, men i denne salaten var det jo såå masse andre grønnsaker, for ikke å snakke om grønnsakene på spydene, så betyr ikke så mye for meg at det ikke er så mye næringsinnhold akkurat i isbergsalaten :) Men takk for tips :)
