A Hint of Peppermint

I don’t know if I’ve told you, but I’m a huge Pepsi Max addict. I think it’s embarrassing to be addicted to something, but my love for Pepsi Max has just grown stronger and stronger. I usually drink it every single day, and I don’t even want to tell you how much I drink! For my Hell Week, cutting the Pepsi was on my list. Even though I’ve been sick an the Hell Week hasn’t really happened after all, I still wanted to stick with the things I could do despite my sickness. Now I haven’t had even a sip of Pepsi in almost a week, and I can’t even remember the last time that happened! YAY! And the crazy thing is that I don’t even miss it, because now my addiction has moved on to something new; Water! I thought drinking lots of water would be such a hassle, but it turns out it’s incredibly refreshing, and if you spice it up a bit, it’s actually very yummy.

Every morning I’ve filled up a jug with ice cubes, lemon and peppermint. It sits in the fridge all day, and I just fill it up with more water every time it’s empty. It’s genius! So now I always have a glass of fresh, ice cold water next to me, with all natural flavors. Yum! Another tips to drink more water is always carrying a bottle of water wherever you go, but nothing beats this jug right here..

So that’s a little tip for my fellow soda addicts! Try it for a week, and I promise you that you won’t even miss the Pepsi! It’s so weird with addictions like that. You think you have to have it to basically survive, but in reality it’s nothing but a bad habit which can be changed so easily. That’s how I managed to cut my sweet tooth back in the day too. I did a month or so without sugar, and the first week was hard, but then suddenly I didn’t miss it anymore! Earlier I would buy at least one chocolate a day, but the last three years I haven’t bought even one! I’ve eaten candy sometimes of course, but only if it’s been served to me, I haven’t gone and bought anything for myself. It’s such a good feeling to kick a bad habit, you feel so free!

These are the same roses that I got over two weeks ago by the way! I just had to show you, I’m a tiny bit proud of my ability to make roses last so long, haha. They just get prettier each day!

So anywho, back to addictions. I’m curious to know, what are yours?♥

    Hjemme har jeg nesten aldri drukket vann, kun fordi at det smaker ekkelt. Men for en del måneder tilbake gjorde jeg det samme som deg; fylte opp en kanne med vann og slang oppi mye lime! Nå drikker jeg minst 1,5 liter vann hver dag, rett og slett fordi at vannet alltid er kaldt og fordi at limen gjør at det smaker himmelsk :-) Føles så mye bedre enn å drikke f.eks. juice eller brus!

    Jeg klarer meg oftest uten godteri kaker brus ol i uken, men på lørdag spiser jeg alltid masse godteri, det gjør at jeg holder ut i uken. Nøtter spiser jeg masse av:)

    Så flink du er! Ofte er det psyken som bestemmer om man er avhengig eller ikke. Min avhengighet er lipgloss.. Smører og smører på, dagen lang. På nattbordet mitt står en lite antall utvalg, jeg våkner nemlig opp om natten for å smøre meg da også. En Juicytube fra Lancome brukes opp på 7 dager. Jeg har alltid rundt 10 gode lipglosser liggende, som jeg bytter på :-) Favorittene er Shine fra VS :-)

    Bytte vann hver dag (kaldt), kutte de (på skrått) ca hver tredje dag, og la de stå i sollys. Det gjør susen :D

    Nam, helt genialt med sånt vann :D Det er så godt! Jeg har et stort problem med godteri, potetgull og annen usunn snacks, jeg. Klarer bare ikke å la være, uff..

    Some time ago I was addicted to corn flakes, that kind where some of the pieces are covered with yoghurt. I ate it both mornings and evenings, and sometimes as lunch. And the embarrassing part is that I really thought it was healthy – until I read about a study someone had made where they had measured the amount of sugar in different corn flakes types. Do I even need to tell you that my brand was pretty high on that list? Huge wake-up call, and my addiction stopped right there and then and I haven’t gone back to that habit since then. Good luck with your “rehab”. ;)

    Jeg har samme addiction som deg! Har vært avhengig alt for lenge. Synes liksom ikke mat smaker like godt uten, spesielt taco! Jeg sluttet med både det, sjokolade(min andre favoritt) og alt annet søtt etter jul og det holdt helt til slutten av sommeren. Når jeg da drakk pepsimax var det ikke godt engang, samme med sjokoladen. Dessverre smakte jeg det flere ganger etter det, og det smakte etterhvert like godt som det alltid hadde gjort!
    Haha, huff! Nå spiser jeg egentlig veldig sunt ellers, så jeg har rett og slett bare innsett at pepsimax kommer jeg til å drikke i langt tid fremover! Godt tips med vannet, men for min del er vanlig iskald vann uten smak noe av det beste som finnes!

    Hvis du vil ha enda en erstatning til brusen er farris bris med mango og papaya utrolig godt, da får du smake på kullsyren uten å drikke den verste sorten :)

    Flink! Brusavhengighet er farlige greier. Selv er jeg ikke så veldig glad i brus, men jeg spiser sjokolade hver eneste dag… Så det må jeg stoppe med! Hellweek har hjulpet masse da, det er så bra med en uke der man ikke har lov, for da er behovet egentlig ikke så stort ellers heller. Det er jo bare at man har blitt alt for vant til det!
    Må bare legge til at cathinthecity produktene for MOO er helt nydelige!! Gratulerer så mye :)

    That is such a good tip and you take such nice pictures, I love to rad your blog! :) Now when I’ve lived in the states for a few months I’ve gotten an addiction for bagels with creme cheese for breakfast.. Need.to.stop. :) I’m definitely trying “hell week” next week!

    Jeg også er totalt avhengig av Pepsi Max. Kan gå noen dager at jeg ikke drikker det, men da MÅ jeg ha det og drikke mye, til tross for at jeg faktisk er veldig glad i vann. Så nå er jeg på brusrehab fremtil eksamen, spent på om jeg klarer det :)
