Kimono: Here

Good morning beautiful people, and happy weekend! I’ve enjoyed a long and, as you can see, colorful morning in my new kimono. I don’t even know if I ever fell asleep last night! After spending the night with my girlfriends, I headed home to finish sewing a dress for tonight’s birthday party. A pretty, maxi lace dress.. Well, the short version is; Now it’s all in the trash. After spending hours securing all the hems, I pinned it together and realized it was probably way too small on top. I tried sewing it anyway, and it looked like an apron with major side boob view, hah. Then I though ‘fuck it’, cut off the top and decided to at least make a maxi skirt. After finishing the skirt it was already morning, and it didn’t turn out cute at all!! I got so pissed off that I tore the whole thing apart and threw it away, and went to bed with a burning rage inside me, haha. I simply can’t handle it when things don’t go the way I picture them to!! I stayed awake for hours thinking about that damn dress.. Bah. So I guess I’m off shopping today, as I sold most of my dresses at the pop up shop, and I’m not really feeling like wearing a torn up apron for tonight’s party. On the bright side, this kimono is really cute though. I ordered it thinking I’d wear it as a robe, but I realized it’s perfect for the beach too! For all of you who don’t feel comfortable running around in a bikini during summer, like me, a kimono is great to just slip on now and then.

  2. That kimono makes mood good! :) Don’t be sad because your sewing project failed this time. It is normal. I believe that that is normal for even the best designers and masters of sewing! :) Things sometimes don’t go on the way we planned it! Mistakes make us better prepared for the next time. Wish you a fun evening on birthday party :)

  4. Hehe, aldri sy stressa, trøtt (eller på natta) eller når du har en litt kort deadline. Da blir alltid resultatet så forhastet og det blir ikke helt som man vil : Har brent meg på det et par ganger selv, skal ikke alltid være lett å sy visjonen man har i hodet.. :)
