You’ve probably noticed these “30 day challenges” a lot of bloggers are doing right now? I think it seems fun, but I don’t think I’ll commit to the full 30 days as I guess it would be boring for you guys to read when so many other bloggers are doing it. But I thought I’d pick a few of the challenges and do posts on them. The first one I’m going to do is ’10 facts you don’t know about me’, so here we go!
♦ I have a weird sense of fearlessness and anxiousness at the same time. Things that would freak other people out can be no big deal to me, and things that are no big deal to other people can scare me to death. Moving to New York for two months all by myself wasn’t scary at all. If I couldn’t sleep at night I’d just walk around the city until the sun came up, all alone in a city full of strangers. I just felt completely peaceful and safe. Here in Bergen it’s a whole other thing. I hate going out alone after dark, even just up to my car! Amalie and I have a routine on that now, I don’t even have to tell her; The moment I walk out her door she heads to the window to see me getting in my car. Then we wave kisses at each other and I’m off. When I get home I always have to call either her or my boyfriend the little minute it takes me to walk from the car and home. It’s so weird, but I can’t help it!
♦ I still know all the lyrics to every song on Pink’s old album “M!zzundastood”. I was a hardcore fan in my teens, my room was filled with posters of her.
♦ I get completely addicted to things way too easily. If I like a song, I’ll play it on repeat for weeks until I’m sick of it. If I like a show, I’ll watch every single episode in like two days. If I make something good for dinner, I have no problem making it again every single day of the week, and even the week after. Right now I’m completely addicted to Fun Light with strawberry flavor, I probably drink liters of it every day. I’m also addicted to the song “Thrift shop”, and I’ve played it on repeat both from my phone and in the car for the last two weeks. My boyfriend is going crazy!
♦ My biggest phobia is rats. I’m terrified of them!! Snakes, spiders, heights and stuff like that doesn’t scare me, but my rat phobia is b-a-d. New York is full of rats, so I’m always super aware of that when I’m walking around. If there’s no cars I’ll walk in the middle of the road, in my head there’s less rats there than on the curb. I always scream when I see them, which is pretty embarrassing, especially when I’m alone. When my cousin Fride and I were in New York last month I thought I’d try not to embarrass us and not scream if I saw one of those (disgusting) little creatures. On our way home from a club one night we were faced with one, and I actually didn’t scream! I asked Fride if she was proud of me for not screaming, and she was like “No, I would prefer it if you just screamed and got it over with. Right now you just froze for two minutes, your face got all pale and you didn’t blink once”. It’s bad…
♦ I met my best friend Tonje when I was 12, and the thing we bonded over was that we had gotten our very first period on the exact same day. From that moment on we were completely inseparable.
♦ I hate it when friends ask if I can turn on some music. Why? Because I have the worst taste in music ever! It’s so embarrassing. Not only do I have bad taste, I’m a year after everyone else. I’ve always been that way, my sisters used to mock me for it when we were little. Like if Rihanna releases a new single which everyone’s addicted to, you can bet your ass I’m playing it on repeat one year later. I guess I just need some time getting used to them, haha.
♦ Recently I’ve discovered a bad habit of mine. No one has ever told me it’s annoying, but I just know that it must be super annoying to the people I’m talking to. I tend to finish other people’s sentences before they get a chance to finish them themselves. Some people are just such slow talkers, and I can’t handle conversations like that. They’ll be like “I’m craving *30 seconds pause* chocolate”. In the 30 seconds pause I’ll be like “Chips? Dip? Candy? Pizza? Burgers? Fish? A stake? Soda?”. That must be so annoying, haha.
♦ The most annoying thing you can do when talking to me is interrupt me in the middle of a sentence. I just find it so rude and annoying. This makes absolutely no sense considering the fact above, haha.
♦ From age 8 to 13 I spent every single day after school on the soccer field playing with my friends. I really miss those days, we would play from after school until the sun went down all year around.
♦ I’m extremely positive and always see the good in things that happen. If something bad happens I’ll be like “Accept that it happened, you can’t change the past. No matter how much you worry about it, what happened happened” and I’ll go on a positive rant on which good things came out of it. I guess I can be annoyingly positive to some people, but I’d never change it, it makes me such a happy person.
If you have any wish posts from the 30 day challenge, let me know and I’ll do posts on them♥♥

your first point took a little of my fear for NY this summer, I’ll be on my own too and I’ve already thought about how scary it would be at night/when it’s dark. But I guess if you felt good, I don’t have to be scared either. Thanks Cath!:)

Respekt, folkens!
Siste punket: LOVE IT :D
Ha en deilig kveld :)

I feel SO safe in New York, I hope you will too! Of course we can’t be naive, but there’s cops on every corner there I feel like, and always lots of people everywhere no matter what time it is :)

Amazing post! I love when I can get to know you a little bit more. You’re such a good person who just makes my days so much happier. I can feel the positive energy in your words… It would be awesome to see/meet you some day :)
(…and sorry for mistakes. I’m not so good in English as you are but I’m trying really hard.)

Hi Cath, you seem very sweet, this post was good to get to know you :) I get addicted to things too, and then I have them so often I get sick of it, tends to happen with a lot of food ;)

I’m to much of a scaredy-cat to be naive, but even if I’m pretty afraid I’m really looking forward to be on my own for the first time in NYC. It’s my first time in the city in general… I’m so excited!:)

Thank you for the wonderful comment sweetie! You made my day! :) <3 Your English is very good, don't worry <3

cathrineheienberg says
Haha uff :p Er ikke lett!!
